Being out on the water is glorious enough as it is, but have you ever wondered what it would be like to sail on the ultimate luxury vessel?

Gymnasiums, swimming pools, and helicopters are all included on these incredible crafts. To give you an idea of what’s out there, we’ve compiled this list of the most expensive yachts in the world. Read on to set virtual sail in style.

The Top 3 Most Expensive Yachts on the Water

These marvelous creatures are privately owned, so it’s unlikely that you’ll ever grace their staterooms. However, reading up on the most expensive yachts will take your imagination on a wild ride to riches and give you a taste of true luxury.

1. Yacht A

Russian national Andrey Melnichenko is the proud owner of the mega yacht A, which cost an estimated $320 million to construct. At 390 feet, this boat is much longer than her name and boasts several defining characteristics we can all get on board with.

Three swimming pools, an underwater observation deck for clear tropical waters, and all the latest and greatest sound and entertainment systems are integrated seamlessly into her hull. However, it’s the design of the yacht we can’t stop raving about. It looks like a futuristic villain’s launchpad, leaving barely a whisper of a wake as it travels at top speeds of 25 knots.

2. Dubai

The mega yacht Dubai comes in at a cool $350 million, spanning 531 feet of immaculate opulence to make even the most jewel-encrusted jaws drop to the floor. Owned by the Sheikh of Dubai, the ship features rich fabrics and intricate mosaic tiling throughout its interior.

Swimming pools, a spa, and a helipad all serve to enhance her extravagance, while a vast circular staircase draws the eye to her center. Bathed in gorgeous natural light, the glass steps sparkle and even change colors in the salon. The Dubai is unapologetic in her excess and wants to show it off — with room for over a hundred guests, she certainly can.

3. Eclipse

You may have already heard of Roman Abramovich’s Eclipse, which puts all the other boats in the yard to shame. These days the massive wonder is still hard at work, and she’s still one of the most expensive yachts in the entire world with an estimated price range of $450 million to $1.2 billion.

This baby features a home-security system unlike any you’ve ever seen before, with a myriad of defense features hard at work protecting passengers and assets alike. We imagine Abramovich might have trouble deciding which of the 3 helipads to fly in on as he gears up to take the submarine out for a spin.
